MWM & COM Fill A Truck 2021 Flyer
Did you know that 1 in 6 children in Cook County do not have access to nutritious meals? At Mid-West Moving & Storage, this is something we want to change. This is why we have partnered with the local non-profit organization, Move for Hunger, in their annual Fill-A-Truck Food Drive. Move For Hunger is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger.
Between November 1st and December 13th, Mid-West Moving & Storage, will be collecting a number of non-perishable food items at various locations to support this great cause. Please see the list of drop-off locations below to find a convenient address close to you. All food donations will then be brought to Elk Grove Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, courtesy of Mid-West Moving & Storage and Chicago Office Movers.
Updates After the Food Drive:
In total, we collected 740 pounds of food and other items. From all locations we filled each box 2 times over (or more). We donated 18+ boxes to the Elk Grove Presbyterian Church Food Pantry on December 17th.
