Event Details
Did you know that 1 in 6 children in Cook County do not have access to nutritious meals? Hunger and food insecurity impact the lives of countless people in the various regions of Cook County. In almost every neighborhood in Chicago, someone does not have enough to eat. Even one person without adequate food supplies is one too many. At Mid-West Moving & Storage, this is something we want to change. This is why we have partnered with the local non-profit organization, Move for Hunger, in their annual Fill-A-Truck Food Drive. Move For Hunger is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger.
Between November 1st and December 12th, Mid-West Moving & Storage, will be collecting a number of non-perishable food items at various locations to support this great cause. Please see the list of drop-off locations below to find a convenient address close to you. All food donations will then be brought to Elk Grove Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, courtesy of Mid-West Moving & Storage and Chicago Office Movers.
With this drive, we are on track to hit a milestone with Move for Hunger of over 50,000 meals delivered!
